Background included computer design for a local company and a customer engineer with Control Data Corporation in Rockville, MD. Started Digital Applications, Inc. in 1978 to sell, install and service mini computers. Moved into the micro computer world in 1982. After starting business, began selling and installing access control systems for a major manufacturer. In 1986, moved company full time into the electronic security business with our own central monitoring station. Registered the name Digital Security with the state corporation commission to better represent our purpose. Have served as VP of the local chapter of the Virginia Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (now called Electronic Security Association). Have overseen the operation of Digital Security since its inception.

John was born & raised in Woodstock, NY. In 1970, he joined the Air Force & worked on the Flightline as an Aircraft Electrican and cross trained into Computer Maintenance. He was stationed in Ohio, VA, Thailand, Mississippi, NC, Arizona and Germany. He joined us after he retired from the Air Force in 1991.He specializes in designing and installing commercial access control and commercial and residential CCTV systems, both analog and IP.

Mike joined the company in 1991and is responsible for the sale, installation and service of burglar alarm and fire alarm systems. Mike also helps John when needed.

Chris joined the company in 1993 and is responsible for overseeing the general operation of the Central Station.
